About the painting:
Odin rides forward into battle on his eight legged horse called Sleipnir meanwhile Fenrir the wolf is devouring a Viking. One of Odin’s ravens called Hugin, the other is called Monin is perched on the Vikings shoulder watching Fenrir devour the Viking. Dragons and Monsters lurk in the background. The Vikings are fighting them and trying to overtake this new land that they are trying to conquer. A monster guards a big cauldron full of gold coins. It is the treasure that the Vikings are searching for but they will have a difficult time defeating the monster. In the ocean near the new land some of the Viking Pirate ships are being attacked by giant sea monsters that are eating some of the Vikings. It will be very difficult to conquer this new land. In the distance a beautiful Princess watches all the Vikings do battle.
